Stories are now an integral part of every social media and messaging app, allowing users to share their everyday moments with others.

These stories automatically disappear after 24 hours.

Stories have been added to WhatsApp as Status.

If you use WhatsApp status, the good news is that the company is improving user privacy.
WABetaInfo reports that the Meta-owned messaging app is testing a new feature to strengthen the privacy of Status app dates.

The report said that this feature is being tested in the Android beta (beta) version of WhatsApp.

According to the report, users will get more control through the status privacy confirmation feature.

That means users will be able to control who sees their status updates.

The report further stated that whenever a user uploads a status, before clicking on the share button, a prompt will appear showing the privacy settings so that the user can decide before posting the status. Who wants to share the content with?

The feature is still available under the privacy option in WhatsApp settings, where users can control who can see their statuses.

But with this new update, WhatsApp will remind users who their status will be visible to so that their content reaches only the selected people.

This feature is currently available to limited beta users and it is hard to say when it will be rolled out to everyone.

Note that recently WhatsApp also introduced a one-minute long voice note feature for status.
