Apple has partnered with OpenAI to introduce features based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology to iPhones.

This was announced on the sidelines of Apple's annual developer conference.

Apple also announced Rich Communication Services as part of iOS to improve messaging between iPhones and Android phones.

Tim Cook said that by making AI technology a part of the devices, consumer protection will be a top priority.

AI tools and features will be made part of new operating systems for iPhones, iPads and Mac laptops.
