Why is the Dead Sea called the Dead Sea?

The lowest place on Earth is the coast of the Dead Sea. In Arabic it is called al-bahar al-mit. It is located at 430.5 meters (1412 feet) above sea level.
Formed centuries ago, the Dead Sea is about nine times more salinary than the rest of the world's oceans, and its high concentration of salts and minerals makes its water look different, making it look like a mixture of sand and olive oil.

It is an ocean between Jordan, Palestine, and Israel, where rain and water from the surrounding land flow down from above and below. Water comes here, but it doesn't go anywhere. It is, in a sense, like a closed lake, meaning that this water is destined to only evaporate. As the water has risen over the centuries, only minerals and salts remain at the bottom, and over the centuries the salinity has increased, making it impossible for fish, plants, and other living creatures to live. Yes, there are certainly Mr./Ms. bacteria that can withstand any environment. Therefore, it is called the "Dead Sea", which means the sea of dead things, or the sea where nothing can live. It is also the deepest place in the world when it comes to salinity in water.
Due to the abundance of salts and minerals, humans are able to float to its surface without drowning in nature.

The places where Lot's people were punished are called Sodom and Gomorrah. The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the abode of the people of Lot, were located on the shores of the Dead Sea, and the Quraysh were traveling back and forth to Mecca on their journey to Syria.
Matters related to local tourism
Dr. Gedi of the Israel Geological Survey, standing far from the coast, said that when he was 18 years old, there was water here at that time, it was not a matter of 500 or 1000 years. , however, at that time, the water is 2 kilometers away from here.

The decline in water levels in the Dead Sea is due to the damming of the river and the decline of freshwater resources in the region, while the northern part of the Jordan River flows into the Tiberian Sea. Part of it flows through the Tiberian Sea, and the air becomes part of the Dead Sea.
Israel dammed the southern part of the Jordan River into the Tiberian Sea to control the flow of water. Israel considers the Red Sea a strategic water resource and is increasing its water reserves to use purified water from the Red Sea.

Due to the shrinking of the river, potholes are also rapidly forming in the region, and currently there are about 55,000 such potholes.
Recently, there have been plans to pump water from the Red Sea into the Dead Sea via a long pipeline to save the Dead Sea from drying up, and the United States will provide some financial resources for this. Under this agreement, Palestine and Israel will also have access to clean drinking water.

In this project, salt is removed from the Dead Sea before it is added to the water. This process will continue for many years to come.

It is shrinking slowly
But as the water level decreases, the density and salinity increase, and in the end, the water becomes heavier and does not change into the form of steam, so it does not dry out completely. Therefore, it may shrink to a fairly small size, but it will not disappear completely. The water in it will begin to absorb water from the surrounding atmosphere, and this will become the self-defense system of this endangered natural monument.

This is not the end of the story of the Dead Sea's demise, but rather an encouraging story of how nature has found ways to protect itself in a region where human inhabitants have not always valued or have not valued natural resources.
Jordan and Israel export cosmetics from the minerals of salt lakes, so consider the economic value of the Dead Sea. The coast of the Dead Sea borders Palestine's West Jordan, but Israel's occupation of the area will allow Palestine to benefit from the sea's unique mineral resources in the future.

The sea is historically very significant, and the Egyptian queen Kartra is depicted as using beauty products made here from the beauty of the Dead Sea region. When the Roman Empire occupied the area, they made the most of the salt resources here. Because at that time, salt was considered a luxury and was also used as currency.

So they investigated the lowest point of the earth and found that it was the place where the Romans lost the battle. And this is the place in the Dead Sea, where the sea level is the lowest in the world.

Professor Palmer is one of America’s leading geologists, but when a group of Muslims talked to him about the scientific miracles of the Quran and Hadith during a meeting with him, he was very surprised. And when he was attracted by the above verse that shows the lowest point of the earth, he was very surprised and said:

There are other places in the world that are much lower than the places mentioned in the Holy Quran. He also identified such places in Europe and America and gave them names. He was emphatically told that the information in the Quran is absolutely correct. He had a topographical globe showing elevations and depressions and when he moved it with his hand, it focused on certain marks in the vicinity of Jerusalem and it was attached.

Professor Palmer confirmed that your report (Muslim) is completely correct and said that as you are looking at this globe-like sphere, this is the lowest landmass on the planet. It is located in the Dead Sea area. And interestingly, the globe-like sphere has marks on it.
