Why do I feel dizzy when I stand up suddenly from sitting?

Have you ever been sitting and, as you stood up, suddenly felt dizzy, forcing you to lean on something or sit upright?
If yes, then this is a very common problem that people of any age can face and is medically known as orthostatic hypotension.
This happens when you suddenly wake up and your blood pressure levels drop dramatically.
When a person stands up after sitting for a while, blood naturally flows to the legs, lowering blood pressure levels, but the body has to work harder to return blood to the heart.
This often causes dizziness, blurred vision, and/or confusion, and often leads to fainting (only in severe cases).
But within a few seconds, blood circulation returns to normal and all is well.
*reason*
dehydration
Most people face this problem when their body becomes dehydrated.
Dehydration can make it harder to control your blood pressure and make you feel dizzy after standing up.
*Waking up too early*
If you don't know, your blood pressure changes depending on your body position to maintain balance.
When the body adapts to a certain position and it suddenly changes, it sends a shock through the body system and the brain experiences a lack of blood for a period of time.
Heart disease and other illnesses
This problem is very common in people with heart disease as it is related to blood pressure.
Apart from this, people suffering from diseases like thyroid disorders, diabetes, anemia etc also face more severe situations.
*How can I escape?*
To do this, stand up comfortably, avoid sitting cross-legged for long periods of time, avoid sitting in one place for long periods of time, and keep your legs moving to keep the blood flowing.
If you experience dizziness frequently while standing, you should see a doctor to determine the cause and prescribe treatment.
